Project Comfort Give-Away

I've decided to not keep my first shawl, but to give it away here on my blog! My mom is my model here and will probably kill me for posting this picture, but oh well! I wanted to show you the length of the shawl. My mom is 5' 6" so you can see where the shawl ends, just above her knees. The shawl is made from Lion Brand Homespun yarn which is 98% acrylic and 2% polyester. It's very soft, and the color is Sierra with reds, browns, golds, tans-really pretty earth tones.

If you know someone in need of a comfort/prayer shawl or would like the shawl yourself, simply post a comment and I'll enter you for the drawing to be held this Friday, April 24 around lunch time.

This is gorgeous. If I win, I would like to send it to Dave's Aunt who is currently going through breast cancer treatment. What an awesome thing for you to be doing.

Jan, this is beautiful! I would love to give this to my daycare mom if my name is chosen. She is undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

FROM WOMEN WHO CROCHET:

Jan,

One of my coworkers has a 13 year old Down's Syndrome child that has an unusual neurological condition where she has had a series of strokes. She is facing two brain surgeries in the very near future. The shawl would be a comfort to her mother as she sits and waits for her daughter to go through surgery and then spend countless hours in the ICU.
